Shahriyor Sharifjonov
Digital Product Manager at Gross Insurance, Tashkent
I own the insurer's digital sales channels: the website, the mobile app (iOS and Android) and a Telegram Mini App. Before that: product manager at a US logistics software company, a studio of ten people, a grocery startup from zero, and two years of front-end code.
What I own now
Since April 2026: the website, the mobile app (iOS and Android) and the Telegram Mini App of Gross Insurance. In June the OSAGO redesign lifted weekly sales through the site by 64%.

Writing
Notes from the work: what changed, why, and what I would do differently.
- First in Uzbekistan: insurance without an office visitReporting an insured event or cancelling a policy used to mean a trip to the office, a handwritten application and weeks of waiting. In September 2026 Gross became the first insurer in Uzbekistan to move both into the customer cabinet, with the status of every request tracked there until it closes. What we built, and why these two first.
- How I would fix a bank's online card applicationAn online card application in Uzbekistan is the problem I already solve for an insurer: a regulated product, an identity check and a customer on a phone. Where people drop off, five hypotheses and how I would test them.
- What changed on gross.uz in seven months, and whyIn April 2026 I took over the digital channels of an insurer. Four product decisions that changed the site, with the screens before and after.
